United World Leaders creates an opportunity for visionary leaders, organizations, and governments from across the world to establish meaningful, transformative and enduring commercial, humanitarian, academic, as well as social initiatives that create a meaningful impact and leave a long lasting legacy.
Through its Initiatives and Councils Program (“Program”), United World Leaders enables individuals and organizations to develop collaborative initiatives that address local and global challenges as well as opportunities, while promoting development of commerce, humanitarian, and social initiatives, fostering dialogue, cooperation, innovation, and constructive engagement among diverse stakeholders.
The Program provides a global institutional platform of world leaders through which individuals, organizations and governments can engage key strategic partners, investors, philanthropists, civil societies, private and public sector to transform ideas into action, develop practical solutions, foster international cooperation, and contribute toward the advancement of socioeconomic prosperity and peace across the world.
Why Base Your Initiative on the United World Leaders Platform?
United World Leaders provides a uniquely powerful, credible, legitimate and influential world leadership platform which approved leaders are able to use to attract to their Initiatives necessary counterparties (such as strategic partners, funding sources, governments and other parties) to develop impactful and transformative national, continental or global initiatives. It provides a global institutional ecosystem through which leaders, experts, organizations, governments, academic institutions, investors, philanthropists, family offices, and other stakeholders can collaborate to advance meaningful impact that creates lasting legacy for all involved.
By establishing an Initiative or Council within United World Leaders, attracting significant key participants, and demonstrating a track record of impact creating activities, approved leaders may also benefit from:
- Access to a global network of presidents, prime ministers, ministers, ambassadors, as well as other current and former senior government officials, business leaders, investors, family offices, philanthropists, academics, and nonprofit leaders.
- Opportunities to engage with strategic partners and stakeholders whose interests align with the Initiative's mission.
- International visibility and recognition through participation in United World Leaders programs, events, publications, and activities.
- Opportunities to collaborate with institutions, governments, universities, businesses, and organizations from across the world.

While each Initiative is expected to operate independently and develop its own resources, coalitions, and other support structures, United World Leaders may, when appropriate and at its sole discretion, facilitate introductions to strategic partners, investors, sponsors, philanthropists, governments, academic institutions, and other stakeholders whose interests align with approved initiatives. Such introductions are not guaranteed and remain entirely at the discretion of the Institution.
Examples of Impact Areas
United World Leaders welcomes proposals addressing a wide range of global topics aligned with its mission of bringing socioeconomic prosperity and peace across the world. Initiatives focusing on areas of significant global importance are particularly encouraged.
As an example, such Initiatives may include:
- International, regional, bilateral and multilateral cooperation and diplomacy
- Economic development and growth
- Nuclear nonproliferation
- Artificial intelligence, quantum, other technologies as well as related governance and standards
- Cybersecurity and digital governance
- Sustainability and energy
- Longevity and healthcare
- Smart Cities
- Education, leadership development, and future skills
- Infrastructure and urban development
- Trade and economic partnerships
- Cross-cultural dialogue and global cooperation
- Preemptive diplomacy and conflict prevention
- Human rights and rule of law
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
- Public-private partnerships
- Investment and economic development
These examples are illustrative only. Innovative proposals addressing other business, humanitarian, social or other areas aligned with the mission of United World Leaders are also welcomed.
United World Leaders Legacy Initiatives
United World Leaders may designate certain approved initiatives as UWL Legacy Initiatives.
This distinguished category may be reserved for initiatives founded by internationally recognized leaders, statesmen, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, academics, innovators, and other individuals whose contributions have had significant national or global impact.
Legacy Initiatives may carry the founder’s name and serve as a long-term platform through which their expertise, leadership, ideas, and vision can continue benefiting future generations.
Examples may include initiatives focused on leadership development, education, economic development, diplomacy, technology, health, sustainability, philanthropy, human rights, peacebuilding, or other areas aligned with the mission of United World Leaders.
Designation as a UWL Legacy Initiative is granted solely at the discretion of United World Leaders.
What Makes a Strong Proposal
Successful initiatives typically demonstrate the following qualities (check list):
Clear Purpose
a well-defined focus addressing an important global challenge or opportunity
A Solid Leadership
credibility, experience, expertise, reputation, and networks necessary to convene meaningful participants
High-Level Participation
the ability to engage key decision makers, strategic partners, as well as leaders from government, business, academia, philanthropy, civil society, and international institutions
Impact
Activities designed to produce tangible outcomes with a potential for Long-Term Impact (strong proposals typically demonstrate the potential to create meaningful and sustainable impact beyond a single event, publication, or activity. United World Leaders particularly values proposals capable of creating enduring contributions that benefit communities, institutions, industries, governments, or future generations.
Sustainability
a proposed plan for financing the initiative and supporting both its long-term sustainability and its contribution to the broader United World Leaders ecosystem
United World Leaders may request additional information or discussions with the applicant before making a final decision.
Approval of an Initiative is granted solely at the discretion of United World Leaders and remains subject to compliance with the Institution’s governance standards, applicable terms, and ongoing review requirements.
